If you’re trying to eat a little healthier but have a hard time staying full, this wrap is for you. And even if you’re not, this wrap is still so delicious.

It’s absolutely massive, packed with protein, but still light on the macros. Super easy to fit in, especially when you’re in a calorie deficit.

What You’ll Need

  • Chicken breast
  • Turkey bacon: Look for one with around 30 calories per slice for accurate nutrition.
  • Seasoning of choice: For the chicken – I love Kinder’s all purpose seasoning.
  • Joseph’s lavash bread
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato
  • Pickled onions: I make these super easy pickled onions. They’re so good and I use them in so many other meals. Can sub thinly sliced red onion.
  • Light sour cream
  • Chipotle peppers in adobo sauce.

How To Make It

  1. Cook the meat: Heat a large frying pan on medium high heat. Dice the chicken and season with Kinder’s (or seasoning of choice). Spray the frying pan with olive oil and add chicken to one side and 2 slices of turkey bacon to the other. Cook for a couple minutes, then flip and cook a minute or so more until chicken is fully cooked and bacon has some color to it. Remove from heat.
  2. Chop the veggies: While the meat is cooking, prep your veggies. Thinly slice the lettuce (if you’re not using pre-shredded) and tomato. Season tomato slices with a pinch of salt for maximum deliciousness.
  3. Make the chipotle sauce: In a small bowl or container, mix light sour cream and one chopped chipotle pepper. If you like more spice, you can add another pepper.
  4. Assemble the wrap and toast: Spread chipotle sauce onto a lavash bread, then layer on lettuce, pickled onion, tomato, bacon and chicken. Wrap snugly, then toast each side on a hot pan until golden brown. Enjoy immediately!

Tips:

  • Get the meat cooking first: This will take the longest. If you can get your meat cooking right away, you can chop up your veggies in the meantime. Double task.
  • Use pre-shredded lettuce: Just creates one less step. Of course, feel free to chop up fresh iceberg lettuce, but I find it easiest to just buy a small pre-shredded bag.
  • Season tomato slices: After slicing the tomato, season them with a pinch of salt. Don’t skip!
  • Slice veggies thin: Something about this just makes this wrap feel…gourmet. Like I’m at a fancy sandwich shop.
