Chocolate Protein Baked Oats
These chocolate protein baked oats are a must try if you’ve got a sweet tooth but still wanna hit your health and fitness goals.

Not only are these so yummy, but they’re SO easy to make. Just throw everything into a blender and bake!
What You’ll Need
Equipment
- 8ร8 baking dish
- Blender: I love myย Vitamix.
Ingredients
- Ripe bananas: The more ripe the bananas, the sweeter the oats.
- Fat free milk: Or milk of choice.
- Eggs
- Vanilla extract: I use imitation vanilla.
- Whole grain oats
- Unsweetened cocoa powder
- Chocolate protein powder: *See protein powder section below.
- Ground flaxseed: Or chia seeds.
- Cinnamon
- Salt
- Baking powder
- Sweetener of choice: I use Truvia.
- Chocolate chips: I love Lily’s chocolate chips.
How To Make Them
- Preheat oven and prep pan: Preheat oven to 375 F, then line an 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper and lightly spray with cooking spray (cause nothing is worse than scraping baked oats off your pan).
- Blend wet ingredients: To a large blender, add bananas, milk, eggs and vanilla and blend on low speed for 5-10 seconds until just combined.
- Add the dry ingredients: Add oats, cocoa powder, protein powder, flaxseed, cinnamon, salt, baking powder, and sweetener to the same blender and blend for another 5-10 seconds on low speed until just combined (don’t over-blend!).
- Bake: Pour the batter into the lined baking dish, making sure to get all that goodness outta there with a spoon or spatula. Top with chocolate chips and bake for 30 minutes. Let cool for about 5 minutes and enjoy! I top mine off with some vanilla greek yogurt and chocolate syrup for good measure.
Protein Powder
- Whey + casein: The best protein powder for baking is a whey/casein blend. It results in a more even texture and doesn’t dry out as much as 100% whey. I love the ย PEScience chocolate cupcake protein.
To Store
Once cooled, cover leftover baked oats tightly with plastic wrap and store in the fridge up to 4 days. Enjoy chilled or warmed in the microwave.
Lastly, be sure to leave a comment and review if you try these chocolate protein baked oats! ๐ค
