Easy 7 Layer Dip With Cottage Cheese
Enjoy some higher protein game day food with this easy 7 layer dip with cottage cheese. Always a crowd favorite and only takes 10 minutes to make!

After making the viral TikTok cottage cheese queso, I knew cottage cheese would make an insanely delicious layer for this dip. A healthier spin on the classic and it’s so good you won’t even be able to tell.
What You’ll Need
Equipment
- 9×13 glass dish
- Food processor or small blender
Ingredients
- Refried beans: The Rosarita brand is my go to, but any kind works.
- Guacamole: To make it easy I just grab a pre-made tub.
- 2% low fat cottage cheese: Daisy is my favorite.
- Diced green chiles: Mild, medium or hot depending on your preference.
- Taco seasoning: I make my own homemade taco seasoning. Can sub pre-made.
- Shredded cheese: Any kind you like – I use this fiesta blend.
- Roma tomato
- Sliced black olives
- Cilantro

How To Make It
- Layer beans and guac: Add the beans to the bottom of your glass dish and spread out into an even layer. Spread the guac out on top.
- Blend cottage cheese: In a food processor, add the cottage cheese, diced green chiles and taco seasoning. Blend until smooth, then spread evenly on top of the guac.
- Add the toppings: Add shredded cheese, chopped tomato, olives and cilantro. Enjoy with chips, veggies, whatever you love!
Tips
- Mix the beans: I like to scoop the refried beans into a separate container and mix together before adding to my dish. Combines any fats that have separated.
- Blending cottage cheese: If needed, add a little water to this to help blend. If you use a blender, make sure it’s a smaller one – the blade on a large blender won’t reach since there isn’t a lot of cottage cheese.

To Store
Store this dip in an airtight container in the fridge up to 4 days. I love this OXO glass dish with lid cause I can just pop the lid on and put leftovers away.
