When I’m having something already high in protein like a smoothie or yogurt bowl, I like to add healthy fats and carbs to make it a bit more balanced. This granola provides both! It’s packed with healthy fats from the chia seeds and almonds, and plenty of carbs from the oats and honey.

Here’s everything you’ll need and how to make it!

What You’ll Need

Equipment
Ingredients
  • Old Fashioned Oats: Aka, “rolled oats”.
  • Rice Krispies: Adds some extra crunch.
  • Sliced Almonds
  • Chia seeds
  • Coconut Sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • Sea salt
  • Coconut oil
  • Honey
  • Vanilla: I use imitation vanilla flavor.

How To Make It

  1. Preheat oven and prep pan: Preheat the oven to 300 F and line a half baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a medium mixing bowl, add all of the dry ingredients and stir.
  3. Add wet ingredients: Add the melted oil and honey, vanilla, and stir again – I use a small silicone spatula.
  4. Bake: Pour the granola onto the baking sheet, spread it out evenly and press down gently. Bake for 30 minutes. Bonus – your house will smell incredible.
  5. Cool: Let the granola cool completely, then break apart into small chunks.

To Store

Store granola in an airtight container (I use either a gallon ziploc bag or wide mouth mason jar). Keep at room temp up to a month, or in the freezer up to three months.

I literally make this recipe once a month minimum. My family loves it with Honey Nut Cheerios instead of Rice Krispies. Soooo good and turns out perfect every time!

Best granola EVER!!! I love how flakey and crunchy it is and it’s so simple to make!!!! It’s WAY better than store bought and I honestly will never buy granola from the store ever again.
