Macros

*I am not a nutritionist or dietician. To determine your individual macronutrient needs, I recommend working with a registered dietician or certified nutrition coach.

so…what even are macros?

“Macros” is the short term used for “macronutrients”. These are the main groups of nutrients in food, which include proteins, carbohydrates, and fats.

THE 3 BUILDING BLOCKS

Macros are the primary nutrients that give your body the energy and support it needs.

PROTEINS

Essential for building and repairing tissues, enzymes & hormones. Sources include meat, fish, eggs, dairy. 4 cals/gram.

CARBOHYDRATES

Think “energy”. Broken down into glucose and founds in foods like rice, pasta and fruits. 4 cals/gram.

FATS

Support energy storage, hormones and nutrient absorption. Found in oils, nuts, avocados, etc. 9 cals/gram.

My Recipes

At My Protein Pantry, I prioritize simple, sustainable and satisfying nutrition. That’s why I create high-protein, balanced meals with wholesome ingredients to fuel your body and keep you feeling your best. Whether you’re a food tracker or intuitive eater, these recipes are designed with you in mind. I focus on protein because of its incredible muscle support and satiety, and add carbs and healthy fats to create nutrient-dense and delicious meals.

Do I need to track macros?

Tracking your macros means you track how many grams of each macronutrient (carbs, protein, fat) you consume in a day, aiming to hit specific targets based on your dietary needs. In my opinion, it is one of the most sustainable approaches out there, and sustainability is everything when it comes to health and fitness.

But tracking isn’t for everybody, and you can experience amazing health benefits from simply eating balanced meals. My recipes are for anyone and everyone, whether you need something to fit your macros, or just want a quick and healthy meal for you and your crew.
