Monster Cookie Protein Balls (No Bake)
These monster cookie protein balls are deliciously addictive and so easy, anyone can make them! The perfect pre-workout boost, afternoon pick-me-up, or sweet treat after a meal.

I just checked the batch I made a couple hours ago and there were only 2 left…I went to find Ty (the only possible one responsible) and he said I had to stop making them because they’re too good and he’ll eat them all.
Safe to say, you will love these.
What You’ll Need
Equipment
Ingredients
- Quick oats: I like these for a softer texture.
- Vanilla protein powder: I’m using 1UP vanilla ice cream protein powder.
- Salt
- Peanut butter
- Honey
- Unsweetened almond milk: Or milk of choice.
- Mini chocolate chips: I use semi-sweet.
- Mini M&Ms

How To Make Them
- Mix dry: In a small bowl or container, whisk together the oats, protein powder and a pinch of salt.
- Add wet: Add the peanut butter, honey and almond milk. Begin stirring, slowly incorporating everything together. It will seem too dry at first, but just keep mixing until combined and you have a dough formed.
- Mix-ins: Add the mini chocolate chips and M&Ms and keep mixing until a dough forms. It will seem too dry at first, but just keep mixing, gently pressing into the sides of the bowl. Add more milk as needed.
- Form into balls: Use a cookie scoop or spoon to roll into 12 balls and place onto a parchment lined tray. Chill 1 hour in the freezer.
Tips
- Don’t add too much milk: Only add more milk if it’s still too dry after 1-2 minutes of stirring. If you add too much liquid, the dough will turn out way too sticky and hard to eat (if using whey protein powder).
- Don’t stack: Try not to stack these, as they will stick together. If you do, make sure to place a piece of parchment between.
Protein Powder
- I’m using the 1UP vanilla ice cream protein powder.
- If you’re using a whey/casein blend or a plant based powder, you may or may not need to adjust the amount of almond milk you add. When in doubt, I always start with less then add more.
To Store
Store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer (if you need to stack them, place parchment between them). They’ll last up to 3 months in the freezer or 2 weeks in the fridge.

Monster Cookie Protein Balls
Equipment
Ingredients
- 1 cup quick oats (80 g)
- 2 scoops vanilla protein powder (64 g)
- pinch salt
- 1/4 cup peanut butter (64 g)
- 3 tbsp honey (63 g)
- 2-3 tbsp unsweetened almond milk (30 ml)
- 2 tbsp mini semi sweet chocolate chips (30 g)
- 2 tbsp mini m&ms (26 g)
Instructions
- In a bowl or container, whisk together the oats, protein powder and salt.
- Add the peanut butter, honey and almond milk. Stir for a few seconds, then add chocolate chips and m&ms. Continue stirring until a thick dough forms. It might seems too dry at first but just keep mixing, only adding more milk if necessary.
- Use a cookie scoop or spoon to roll into 12 equal balls (~1.5 tbsp each), then chill about 1 hour in the freezer (separate with parchment if you need to stack).
Notes
- Don’t add too much milk: This can make these sticky and hard to work with, especially when using whey protein powder. Start with less and add more if you need.
- Store in an airtight container in the freezer up to 3 months or fridge for 2 weeks.

This recipe showed up on my FYP on Tiktok and I’m so glad I decided to make them. These protein balls are insanely good, honestly one of the best things I’ve found. Im OBSESSED.
Hi Kimberly,
So good right?! I have to hide them so I don’t eat them all haha. Glad you enjoyed! ♡
These, along with everything on your website are a big hit in our house. Thank you so much !!
Hi Jason,
Absolutely, happy to hear it!
Hi! Think these would work with regular oats? I have everything else so trying not to go to the store again haha. So excited to make them!
Hi Vanessa,
Yes, regular oats will work! You could even pulse a couple times in a blender to closer resemble quick oats.
Can you replace almond milk with fair life protein milk?
Hi Storee,
Yes, that works too!
