Ninja Creami Peanut Butter Protein Ice Cream
This Ninja Creami peanut butter protein ice cream is for all my peanut butter lovers out there. Top with your favorite peanut butter candy for a delicious high protein treat.

This recipe is a bit different than my vanilla and chocolate base recipes. But it is still thick, creamy, and will satisfy your sweet tooth while you crush your fitness goals.
What You’ll Need
- Fat Free milk: I use Fairlife since it has the most protein. Can sub milk of choice.
- Unsweetened almond milk: Or cashew milk.
- Protein powder: I really like the Optimum Nutrition vanilla ice cream protein powder. Use any powder you know and love. There are tons of peanut butter flavored powders out there I’m sure would be amazing in this too!
- Sugar Free Jell-O butterscotch pudding mix
- Powdered peanut butter: PBFit is my favorite.
- Salt
- Sweetener: I add 1 tsp of Truvia to this. You can add whatever sweetener you like, or none, depending on your preferences.
How Long to Freeze
You should freeze your Ninja Creami peanut butter protein ice cream for at least 8 hours before spinning. I like to make mine at night before I go to bed, that way I can have it whenever I want the next day. But I’ve also made it first thing in the morning and had it after dinner that same night.
How Many Spins
If you’ve made a Ninja Creami before, you’ll know that it turns out a bit crumbly after the first spin. This is normal. You just need to add 1 tablespoon of water (or milk) and re-spin one time.
After the re-spin, run it on the “mix-in” function to evenly distribute your toppings.
So, 3 spins total (1 initial spin, 1 re-spin, and 1 mix-in).
Mix-Ins
Level up this Ninja Creami peanut butter protein ice cream with some yummy toppings. Personally, I love nutter butters and Reese’s pieces, so that’s what I’ve listed in this recipe.
This whole thing is 292 calories with 42 g of protein, WITHOUT the mix-ins. I’ve calculated the macros without them so you can choose whatever toppings you want.
Other mix-ins that are yummy in this one:
- Kashi peanut butter granola
- Quest chocolate peanut butter hero bars
- Reese’s cookie dough pop-ins
- Peanut butter Oreo’s
- Reese’s Chips Ahoy cookies
- Mini Reese’s puffs cereal
Let Me Know If You Try!
This one is a go-to and can be paired with so many good toppings. Leave a comment/review if you try it out and let me know what peanut butter mix-ins you love!

Equipment
Ingredients
- 1 scant cup Fairlife fat free milk (200 g) *see notes
- 2/3 cup unsweetened almond milk (160 g)
- 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder (31 g)
- 2 tbsp PBFit (16 g) or other powdered peanut butter
- 1 tbsp Jell-O sugar free butterscotch pudding mix (7 g)
- 1 tsp sweetener
- 1 pinch salt
Mix-Ins (optional)
- 2 nutter butter cookies (28 g) chopped
- 1 tbsp Reese's pieces (12 g)
Instructions
- Mix together all ingredients in your creami pint. Cover with lid and freeze overnight or 8 hours minimum.
- Spin ice cream on the "light ice cream" setting. Remove lid and add 1 tbsp of water or milk, then re-spin.
- Add mix-ins and spin on "mix-in" setting. Crumble extra mix-ins on top and enjoy!
Notes
- Nutrition: Nutrition is calculated without the mix-ins. This is to give you flexibility with toppings in case you prefer something else.
- Milk: Shoot for right between 3/4 and 1 cup for the scant cup of fat free milk.
- Removing outer icy layer: Run frozen creami pint under hot water for 1-2 minutes before spinning to get rid of outer icy layer.
