One Pan White Tuscan Turkey Orzo
This white Tuscan turkey orzo pasta dish is hearty, high protein, and made all in one pan for less mess! Perfect for busy weeknights or when you just need something easy and delicious.

This has been a staple for us for years. I make it all the time, and it always hits the spot while making it easy to hit our protein goals. And you guys know I love a good one pan meal for easy cooking and cleanup! Here’s everything you’ll need and how to make it.
What You’ll Need
- Lean ground turkey: I prefer 99% lean for the most protein.
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Italian seasoning: You can use store bought, or your own Italian seasonings (basil, thyme, oregano, rosemary).
- Onion: White or yellow.
- Garlic
- Chicken bone broth: Bone broth is one of the easiest ways you can add protein to a meal! It has a surprising 9 g protein per cup and it’s also great for gut health. Can sub chicken broth.
- Orzo pasta
- Half & half: Add so much creaminess, but is lower in fat than heavy cream.
- Parmesan cheese
- Sun dried tomatoes: Try to find the bag of sun dried tomatoes (not the oil packed jar). I get these julienne cut ones.
- Mustard: Yellow or dijon works.
- Fresh spinach
How To Make It
- Cook the turkey: Cook the turkey in the olive oil, breaking apart into small pieces. I use a meat chopper to make this super easy. After cooking, season with Italian season and salt, then set aside in a small bowl.
- Cook the veggies: In the same pan, cook the onion and garlic until soft and fragrant (about 3 minutes).
- Cook the orzo: Add the dry orzo to the onion and garlic and toast for another minute, then add bone broth and a touch more Italian seasoning. Reduce heat and cover, letting simmer for 9 minutes (or according to box directions). Stir occasionally so nothing burns.
- Add in the rest: Add the half & half, parmesan, sun dried tomatoes, mustard, and spinach. Stir until combined and spinach is wilted. Enjoy topped with more parmesan and optional red pepper flakes!

To Store
Once cooled, store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop with a splash of broth to loosen it up.

Hi Caitlin,
Happy to hear you and your husband enjoyed this recipe! It’s a staple for us, too!
We are trying to increase our protein intake and found your page. This recipe was easy and delicious. I didn’t have sundried tomatoes so I added roasted tomatoes. Two thumbs up from my husband.
Hi Andrea, good idea with the roasted tomatoes! Glad you and your husband enjoyed it :)
Delicious, will make again!
