If you’re craving some fun food but still need to get that protein in, this one’s a must try. It’s cheesy, comforting, and made with an easy greek yogurt dough and turkey pepperoni to make it a lil healthier.

Here’s everything you need and how to make it!

What You’ll Need

Equipment
Ingredients
  • Flour: For the best structure, I recommend using bread flour. It has a higher protein content which helps with gluten development and overall structure of your crust. Regular all-purpose flour works as well. NOTE: You can also use self-rising flour and skip the baking powder.
  • Baking powder: Skip if you are using self-rising flour.
  • Salt
  • Oregano, basil, garlic powder: Adds flavor to the dough.
  • Non-fat plain greek yogurt: Fage is the best since it’s thicker and less creamy – makes the dough less sticky and much easier to work with.
  • Pizza sauce
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Turkey pepperoni: 2x the protein and 1/2 the calories of regular pepperoni and still so good.

How To Make It

  1. Preheat oven and prep pan: Preheat the oven to 450 F and line your pizza pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, oregano, basil and garlic powder so everything is evenly distributed.
  3. Add the greek yogurt: Add in the yogurt. I stir with a spoon until it forms a dough.
  4. Form the crust: Lightly grease or dust your counter surface with flour and set down the dough. Knead the dough a bit to make sure everything’s combined well. Roll dough out into a circle the size of your pan, gently rolling in the edges to form a crust (I like to do this right on the parchment so I can just slide it on my pan).
  5. Bake: Bake dough for 12 minutes. While dough is baking, grate the cheese and get the pepperoni and pizza sauce ready. Once 12 minutes are up, take out the dough and top with sauce, cheese and pepperonis. Bake for another 6-8 minutes, until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.

Tips

  • Bread flour: As mentioned above, using bread flour helps with gluten development and overall structure of the dough since it has a higher protein content.
  • Greek yogurt: Fage greek yogurt will make your life so much easier when working with the dough. It’s a lot thicker and won’t turn into a sticky mess.
  • Forming the crust: I spread the dough out right on the parchment and just slide it onto the pan.

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 450 F and line a pizza pan with parchment (mine is 12").
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, oregano, basil and garlic powder. Add the greek yogurt and stir together until a dough forms.
  • Lightly grease or dust counter with flour. Knead dough for a minute to fully combine, then use a rolling pin and your hands to spread into a circle the size of your pan, gently rolling the edges in to form a crust (I spread it out right on the parchment so I can just slide it on the pan).
  • Transfer to your baking sheet and bake for 12 minutes. It may inflate, but will deflate after taking it out.
  • Once crust is done, add sauce, cheese and pepperonis and put back into oven for 6-8 minutes, until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown. Slice into 6 pieces and enjoy!

Notes

  • Forming the crust: I find it easiest to spread the dough out right on the parchment, then slide it onto your pan.
  • Parchment: This is a must (or grease your pan very well) – the dough will stick to the pan without it.

This was SO good. My whole family LOVED it and my kids told me I needed to make this vs buying pizza. I love that I can eat pizza guilt free.

I made this tonight along with a regular pizza crust. My husband, teenage son, and I all liked this one better! I was skeptical. I’ve made the 2 ingredient dough before and it was dry and just blah. This is not that at all! Absolutely amazing! 10/10, will make again!

    1. Hi Poet,
I would recommend checking out the viral chicken crust recipe! I don’t have one here on my site but there are many on social media you should be able to find. That would be low-carb and very high protein!

I will be honest…I did not expect this to turn out well. But to my complete surprise, it was actually phenomenal! My husband and I decided to go off recipe and make it a supreme pizza, and that just made it all the more enjoyable! The crust had such a great flavor and texture while eating it, I will definitely be using this crust recipe for future recipes!
