Quick Club Sandwich For One
If you’re impatient sometimes like me, but still need something filling, satisfying, and delicious, this quick club sandwich for one will be your new best friend.
A quick sandwich moment
There’s just something about sandwiches. An underrated food in my opinion. If I was at a restaurant and could get anything I wanted (pizza, burger, pasta, etc.), I might just get… a sandwich? I know, I know, of all things. But hear me out, if it’s made right (I’ll emphasize again, MADE RIGHT), eating a sandwich is an incredible experience. Some different textures of the veggies and meats, creaminess of some avocado, plus if you crisp it up a bit on a pan right before eating? Honestly, it just hits the spot every time. My favorite sandwich I’ve ever eaten is from Feldman’s Deli, called the “Trisha”. If you’re ever in Salt Lake City, Utah, you have to try it.
But when I’m trying to be a bit more mindful with fats/carbs and still pack in a good amount of protein, I make this club sandwich at home that is still incredible.

Why You’ll Love It
The beautiful thing about a sandwich is you can completely customize it to fit your goals. Trying to eat a bit more to build some muscle? Use a thicker slice of bread, add some more cheese or sauces, and you’re good to go. On a cut? Tweak your sauce mix, slice your bread just a tad thinner, and pack on tons of veggies to still get the full volume. Voila.
And it’s so fast. Throwing this together takes me AT MOST 5 minutes.
This one’s gonna be simple, and I don’t even know if I’d really call it a recipe because you’re just adding a bunch of things in between two pieces of bread. But I will give a couple tips that will take your sandwich to the next level.
Tips:
- Make sure your veggies aren’t sopping wet. This will help you avoid soggy bread. I do this by placing my higher water content veggies (i.e. tomatoes) on a paper towel and gently pat any excess liquid away.
- After you slice your tomatoes and have dabbed any extra liquid off, sprinkle them with a pinch of kosher salt. Trust me.
- For your meat – high quality deli meat will always be best, but any kind works here. More often than not, I just have some Walmart deli turkey on hand which gets the job done.
- If you’re really in a rush, turkey bacon can be popped in the microwave and will be ready for you in 30-60 seconds.
Let’s make it!

Ingredients
- 2 slice Dave's Killer Bread, thin sliced
- 4 ounces deli turkey breast (113 g) any flavor you like, shoot for 98-99% fat free
- 1 slice provolone cheese, ultra thin I use Sargento
- 1 slice turkey bacon I use Butterball
- 1/8 cup avocado (20 g)
- 4-5 thin slices tomato (25 g)
- 2-3 leaves lettuce (15 g)
- 1 tbsp light mayonnaise (15 g)
- 1/2 tbsp yellow mustard (8 g)
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Set a pan to medium high heat and spray with cooking spray. Place your slice of turkey bacon on the pan to cook while you prep the rest of your sandwich (about 1 min each side).
- Wash your lettuce and pick off 2-3 leaves. Pat dry with paper towel (optional).
- Thinly slice your tomato. Pat dry with paper towel (optional). Sprinkle your tomato slices with a pinch of kosher salt.
- Grab your bread slices and spread mayo on one piece and drizzle mustard on the other.
- Assemble sandwich in this order: turkey, turkey bacon, cheese, avocado, tomato, lettuce.
- Spray same pan with olive oil and grill sandwich for about 1 min each side (spray again when you flilp) or until golden brown.
- Eat immediately.
