Simple Peanut Butter Granola
This simple peanut butter granola is made with minimal ingredients and so irresistible. Add to yogurt, smoothies and more!

I’ve completely stopped buying granola at the grocery store. It’s so easy to make myself and I almost always have all the ingredients on hand. Plus, I think it tastes even better.
This peanut butter version is so addicting and you only need a few things to make it.
What You’ll Need
Equipment
Ingredients
- Old Fashioned Oats: Aka rolled oats.
- Unsalted peanuts: Or nut of choice.
- Chia seeds
- Natural peanut butter: I use creamy.
- Honey
- Coconut oil
- Vanilla: I useย imitation vanilla flavor.
- Cinnamon
- Sea salt
How To Make It
- Preheat oven and prep pan: Preheat the oven to 300 F and line a half baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a medium mixing bowl, gently mix the oats, peanuts (roughly chopped) and chia seeds.
- Microwave the rest: Add peanut butter, honey, coconut oil, vanilla, cinnamon and sea salt to a microwave safe bowl orย glass measuring cup and microwave for 30 seconds. Whisk until smooth, then pour over the oats and stir everything together.
- Bake: Add granola to the parchment lined baking sheet, spread it out evenly and press down gently (I use a silicone spatula). Bake for 20-23 minutes, until toasted and smelling delicious.
- Cool: Let the granola cool completely, then break apart into small chunks.
To Store
Store granola in an airtight container (I use either a gallon ziploc bag or wide mouth mason jar). Keep at room temp up to a month, or in the freezer up to three months.

Simple !!!!
I made this once and it came out so great but now every time I make it the oats are limp and not crispy. Iโm not sure how to fix it.
Hi Kayla,
What kind of oats are you using? Stick with old fashioned (not quick oats) for the best texture. โบ๏ธ Also be sure to spread the granola out thinly and evenly so it’s not overcrowded and let it cool completely before breaking it up/storing so steam doesn’t get trapped!
