What You’ll Need
Equipment
- Juicer: I have this inexpensive Aeitto juicer from Amazon. Blender instructions also included below.
- Shot bottles (2 oz)
- Fine mesh strainer
Ingredients
- Carrots: If using a blender, use store-bought carrot juice.
- Lemons
- Ginger
- Garlic

How To Make Them (Juicer)
- Prep ingredients: Wash, peel and cut produce into chunks.
- Juice separately: Run each ingredient through the juicer individually, collecting juices separately to control the ratio. Juice carrots first, then lemons, ginger and garlic last.
- Measure and mix: Combine 2/3-3/4 cups carrot juice, 1/4 cup lemon juice, 1 tbsp ginger juice, and 1 tsp garlic juice in a glass measuring cup or bowl. Stir well to blend flavors.
- Strain: For smoother shots, run through a fine mesh strainer to remove any remaining pulp. I also use a mini strainer when pouring.
- Pour: Use a funnel to pour the mixture evenly into 4 (2oz) shot bottles.
Blender
- Prep ingredients: Wash, peel and cut produce into chunks (except carrots).
- Blend: Add everything to a high speed blender along with 2/3 cups store-bought carrot juice. Blend until very smooth.
- Strain: Run juice through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove remaining pulp.
- Pour: Use a funnel to pour the mixture evenly into 4 (2oz) shot bottles.
Tips
- Adjust flavor: If the shots are too spicy from the ginger, reduce juice to 2 tsp. For a sweeter shot, add a bit more carrot juice (or 1 tbsp honey). Taste test before bottling to adjust as needed.
- To store: Store in the fridge up to 3 days, shaking well before drinking.
- To freeze: Freeze shots in ice cube trays for longer storage (up to 3 months).
