The Best Ninja Creami Chocolate Base

This is the best Ninja Creami chocolate base and so easy to make. You can eat the entire thing for less than 300 calories and nearly 40 grams of protein.

The Secret Ingredient

Cottage cheese. Don’t leave!

I promise your protein ice cream will NOT taste like cottage cheese and will NOT have any weird texture.

I love myย Vitamixย blender to blend the cottage cheese and almond milk. You can use whatever blender or food processor you have on hand. It adds thickness and extra protein.

Everything Youโ€™ll Need

  • 2% Lowfat cottage cheese
  • Unsweetened almond milk: Or cashew milk.
  • Protein powder: Iโ€™m using theย 1UP Nutrition chocolate milkshakeย protein powder (code โ€œJayceeโ€ for 20% off).
  • Sugar Free Jell-O white chocolate pudding mix: There is a chocolate flavor in these which you can absolutely use if youโ€™d like, but I like the taste of the white chocolate one best.
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Salt
  • Sweetener of choice: I like Truvia.

How Long to Freeze

Freeze your vanilla Ninja Creami mixture for at least 8 hours before spinning. I like to make mine at night before I go to bed, that way I can have it whenever I want the next day. But Iโ€™ve also made it first thing in the morning and have it after dinner that same night!

How Many Spins

If youโ€™ve made a Ninja Creami before, youโ€™ll know that it turns out a bit crumbly after the first spin. This is normal. Just add 1 tablespoon of water or milk and re-spin.

So 2 spins total (1 initial spin and 1 re-spin after you add water or milk).

Mix-Ins

The possibilities are endless with this Ninja Creami chocolate base. You can do so many different combos! Here are some of my faves:

  • Chocolate Brownie
  • Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup
  • Chocolate Oreo
  • S’mores

And this whole thing is only 275 calories with 38 g of protein so there’s plenty of room for delicious toppings and customizations ๐Ÿ˜‰

Let Me Know if you Try!

I know not everybody has a Ninja Creami, but if you do, you have to let me know if you try this out! And share what all your favorite toppings are – I’m always looking for new ideas :)
