Turkey BLT Sandwich For One
If you’re craving a quick, delicious, and high protein lunch, make this turkey BLT sandwich. Made with oven-roasted turkey, crispy bacon, iceberg lettuce, and salted tomato, it hits the spot every time with 40 grams of protein to keep you full and satisfied.

Becoming a mom has helped me gain a whole new appreciation for quick and easy meals. Sometimes the quickest thing isn’t always the healthiest, so I’ve had to get a little more strategic with what I grab, and this turkey BLT has become my most recent staple that I can whip up in minutes.
I use the Dave’s Killer bread and oven-roasted turkey to up the protein, and make a quick sauce with light mayo and non-fat Greek yogurt to keep things on the lighter side. It’s been my saving grace on days where I don’t have anything prepped ahead and don’t have the time to cook. Here’s everything you’ll need and how to make it!

What You’ll Need
Equipment
Ingredients
- Dave’s Killer bread: Or bread of choice! I use the Dave’s Killer 21 whole grains and seeds with 6g protein per slice.
- Oven-roasted turkey: This is what really boosts the protein. I use 3oz for my sandwich, but feel free to use more/less as you prefer.
- Bacon: For convenience, I use fully cooked microwaveable bacon. For accurate nutrition, try to look for bacon with ~70 calories and 6g protein per serving.
- Tomato: Any tomato you like works – I’ve used slicer tomatoes, roma tomatoes, beefsteak tomatoes, whatever I’ve got on hand.
- Iceberg lettuce
- Light mayo
- Nonfat plain Greek yogurt
- Dried dill
- Garlic powder

How To Make It
- Make the sauce: To keep things a little lighter, I mix light mayo and non fat plain greek yogurt with some dried dill and garlic powder. Feel free to add whatever seasonings you like to customize the flavor.
- Microwave the bacon: Pop the bacon into the microwave and cook according to package instructions.
- Toast: Toast 2 slices of bread, then spread the sauce onto each piece.
- Build your sandwich: Layer on the turkey, bacon, sliced tomato (season the tomato slices with salt), and lettuce onto your sandwich. Slice it in half and enjoy immediately!

Tips
- Toast the bread: Seems like a simple step, but toasted bread holds up better to the juicy tomatoes and sauce while adding a nice crispy texture.
- Pat the tomatoes dry: This helps keep the sandwich from getting soggy, especially if you’re packing it for lunch later in the day.
- Don’t skip the seasoning: A pinch of salt on the tomatoes brings out the flavor so much more.
- Layer the lettuce next to the bread: I always layer the lettuce last to create a barrier between the tomatoes and the bread to help prevent sogginess.

Loved this idea of Turkey BLT. I’m not a big fan of plain BLT’s. I did add a spicy guacamole that made the sandwich a bit yummier. Very delicious! Thanks for the idea.
Sounds so good! Thanks for sharing and hope you have a great week! ♡
